Hetfield, Lisa

  • Thesis/Practicum: Practicum: Feminist Interventions: Creating New Institutional Spaces for Women at Rutgers

Lisa Hetfield is currently the Associate Director and Director of Development for the Institute for Women's Leadership consortium at Rutgers. In that role, she raises funds to support leadership programs, research initiatives, and public service activities of the consortium as well as oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization. She is co-founder of several leadership programs at Rutgers, including the IWL High School Leadership Certificate Program and the Senior Leadership Program for Professional Women. In additon to an M.A. from Rutgers, she also holds a B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.

Gupta, Kristina

Upon completing an M.A. at Rutgers, Kristina Gupta pursued a Ph.D. in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Emory University. She graduated in 2013. Kristina also holds a B.A. from Georgetown Unviersity in History and Women's Studies.

Azad, Soheli

  • Post-MA Employment/Education: Associate Professor, Department of Women's and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka.
  • Thesis/Practicum: Practicum: Migration, Gender Relations, and Organizational Intervention: Experiences with Manavi, a Non Governmental Organization, New Jersey

After completing her M.A. at Rutgers on a Fulbright Scholarship, Soheli Azad received a Ph.D. from the University of Dhaka with a focus on globalization, internal migration and gender relations, and women working in readymade garment industries. She previously held positions in Human Resources, including at ActionAid Bangladesh.
